Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb 450 g ground beef (lean)
  • 1 medium cabbage (green or purple, thinly sliced)
  • 3 tbsp tamari sauce (or soy sauce if not gluten-free)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 -2 tsp chili flakes (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon (5–6 minutes).
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant (1 minute).
  4. Add sliced cabbage and stir-fry until just tender but still slightly crisp (5–7 minutes).
  5. Pour in tamari sauce and sprinkle chili flakes. Toss everything well.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with sesame seeds, and serve hot.
