Description

Bread Bowl Spaghetti is the kind of comfort food that makes everyone gather closer to the table. Crispy, golden rolls brushed with garlic butter and filled with saucy spaghetti and melted mozzarellaย  itโ€™s hearty, cheesy, and impossible to resist.


Ingredients

Spaghetti
  • 4 ounces spaghetti noodles, cooked
  • 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided
Garlic Butter
  • 1 cup (2 sticks or 227g) butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, minced
  • 6 large bread rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF
  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef until no longer pink
  4. Season with salt and pepper
  5. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer 10 minutes on low heat
  6. Stir in cooked spaghetti noodles and toss to coat
  7. In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, salt, and parsley
  8. Cut centers from tops of rolls without cutting through the base
  9. Brush garlic butter inside and outside each roll
  10. Fill each roll with 1 tablespoon mozzarella
  11. Add 1/2 cup spaghetti mixture
  12. Top with another tablespoon mozzarella
  13. Bake 7โ€“10 minutes until golden and cheese is melted
  14. Garnish with parsley and serve warm


Notes

Use high-quality spaghetti sauce for best flavor. Freshly shredded mozzarella melts more smoothly. Ground turkey or Italian sausage can replace beef. Add red pepper flakes for heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 325ยฐF oven until warmed through.
