This easy Chicken Parmesan Casserole combines juicy chicken, rigatoni pasta, marinara sauce, and layers of mozzarella, Parmesan, and crispy breadcrumbs. A one-pan dinner that’s cheesy, comforting, and perfect for family meals or gatherings.

- 1 1/2 lb chicken breasts (skinless & boneless, diced into bite-size cubes)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp oregano
- 16 oz rigatoni pasta (uncooked)
- 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- 3 cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil (chopped (for garnish))
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with oil.
- Toss chicken with garlic, Italian seasoning, and oregano. Let sit 5 minutes.
- Add pasta, marinara, water, chicken, salt, and pepper to the baking dish. Stir to combine.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover, stir, then top with mozzarella, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan.
- Bake uncovered 10–15 minutes until cheese is golden brown and pasta is tender.
- Garnish with basil before serving.
Notes
- Substitute penne or ziti for rigatoni.
- Use rotisserie chicken for a shortcut (reduce bake time by 10 minutes).
- Make it gluten-free with GF pasta and breadcrumbs.
