- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour for extra fiber)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup thick Greek yogurt (full-fat recommended)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional toppings: Everything bagel seasoning (cinnamon sugar, shredded cheese, garlic & herbs, chocolate chips)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep โ Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Mix Dry Ingredients โ In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. If making cinnamon bagels, add 2 tsp cinnamon now.
- Add Yogurt โ Stir in Greek yogurt with a spatula until the dough starts to form. Knead gently by hand until cohesive.
- Shape Bagels โ Lightly flour your work surface. Divide dough into 4 portions. Roll into balls, flatten slightly, and poke a hole in the center (or roll into logs and join the ends).
- Egg Wash & Toppings โ Brush each bagel with whisked egg. Sprinkle with your chosen toppings.
- Bake โ Bake for 22โ25 minutes or until golden brown.
