- Zest of 1 large orange
- 1 1/2 cups orange juice
- 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 4 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or Bragg’s liquid aminos)
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients. Set aside.
- Preheat a large skillet (preferably cast iron) on high heat. Add oil and swirl to coat.
- Add chicken and cook uncovered for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
- Whisk sauce again and pour over chicken. Reduce heat to medium-high and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens.
- Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice.

- For extra juiciness, use boneless skinless chicken thighs instead of breasts.
