- 8 oz / 220g ground turkey
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tbsp basil (chopped)
- 2 tbsp zucchini (shredded)
- 2 tbsp mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 tsp green pesto
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground turkey, garlic, basil, zucchini, mozzarella, pesto, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Form walnut-sized meatballs with your hands.
- Heat a nonstick pan with a little oil. Add the meatballs and cover with a lid.
- Cook for 4–5 minutes, flip, then cook another 4–5 minutes until golden and cooked through (165°F / 74°C).
- Serve with salad, cauliflower rice, tomato-garlic sauce, or couscous.
Notes
- For extra juiciness, don’t skip the zucchini.
- Use damp hands to roll meatballs to avoid sticking.
- Can be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes instead of pan-fried.
