Ingredients
Scale
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1.5 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1.5 teaspoons ground cumin (use 1 tsp for chicken or shrimp)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander seed
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 Tablespoon red pepper flakes (adjust to desired heat level)
- 1 Tablespoon sweet paprika
- 1.5 Tablespoons dried cilantro or dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (Mexican oregano if available)
Instructions
- Measure all the spices into a bowl or small jar.
- Mix with a fork until evenly combined. If using a jar, shake well with the lid on.
- Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark spot. Best used within a few weeks for full flavor.
Notes
Store the seasoning mix in an airtight jar in a cool, dry place. Best used within 2-4 weeks. For a salt-free version, omit the sea salt and season separately. Add lime zest for a citrusy twist or a bit of cocoa powder for depth. Great on chicken, steak, shrimp, veggies, or chickpeas!
