- 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated (Parmigiano-Reggiano recommended)
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (205ยฐC) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Trim the ends off your green beans and spread them out on the baking sheet.
- Toss beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Spread them into a single layer.
- Sprinkle grated parmesan evenly over the beans.
- Roast for 20 minutes, or until the green beans are fork-tender, edges are golden brown, and cheese is crisp.
- Remove from oven and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and season with more salt and pepper if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy the crispy, garlicky, cheesy goodness.
Notes
Best served fresh out of the oven. To reheat, place under a broiler for a few minutes to maintain crispiness.
