Description

Rich, fudgy brownies decorated with spooky spider web designs made from melted white chocolate. A festive, fun, and kid-friendly Halloween dessert that’s as delicious as it is eye-catching.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup white chocolate chips (melted for webs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan, remove from heat, and stir in cocoa powder. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar, and vegetable oil until light and foamy.
  4. Stir in butter mixture and vanilla until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold into wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour into prepared pan and bake 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely before decorating.
  8. Melt white chocolate and pipe spider web designs over brownies. Cut into squares and serve.


Notes

  • For cleaner piping, let brownies chill slightly before decorating.
  • Brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Swap white chocolate for cream cheese frosting if desired.
