- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning
- 1 tablespoon au jus seasoning
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
- 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice (from the jar)
- 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
- Coleslaw (optional, for serving)
- Buns, mayonnaise, sweet pickles (optional, to taste)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef and chopped onions for 8โ10 minutes until beef is cooked and onions are soft. Drain excess fat.
- Reduce heat to medium and stir in butter, garlic powder, ranch seasoning, au jus seasoning, sliced pepperoncini, pepperoncini juice, and beef broth.
- Simmer for 3โ5 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.
- Optional: Toast buns in a separate skillet with olive oil until golden.
- Assemble sandwiches with mayonnaise, sloppy joe mixture, and optional coleslaw or sweet pickles.
Notes
